Position Overview

The Head of Business Development is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the Business Development Team that drives the school’s student enrollment growth, marketing performance, and end-to-end admissions lifecycle management.

The role combines growth strategy, corporate partnership development, marketing leadership, and enrollment operations oversight, ensuring both pipeline expansion and operational excellence across the entire student journey.

The primary objective is to grow student enrollment through data-driven acquisition strategies while maintaining a highly accurate, efficient, and compliant admissions process. The secondary objective is to develop feedback mechanisms, monitor parent feedback, and work in partnership with educational leaders to ensure that ISD fulfills its mission promises.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & School Storytelling

Lead how ISD’s story is shared across local and international communities, ensuring it reflects the heart of the school experience.

  • Shape ISD’s narrative across digital channels, communications, and outreach activities
  • Oversee digital marketing and collaborate with external partners to ensure high-quality, authentic engagement
  • Ensure consistent, clear, and values-driven messaging across all platforms
  • Plan and deliver open days, school visits, and community events that bring the school experience to life
  • Strengthen ISD’s presence and reputation within the wider educational and local community

Growth & Enrollment Strategy

Develop and guide a holistic approach to attracting and welcoming new families into the ISD community.

  • Develop and execute student recruitment strategy
  • Improve engagement and conversion across all stages of the enrollment journey
  • Use data and insights to optimize outreach and decision-making
  • Strengthen referral and community-based growth channels

Partnerships & Community Engagement

Build and nurture relationships that support both the school’s growth and its wider impact in the community.

  • Build relationships with companies, institutions, and key stakeholders
  • Support scholarship and collaboration opportunities
  • Represent ISD in external partnerships and community initiatives

Admissions & Family Journey

Ensure that every family experiences a welcoming, clear, and supportive journey from inquiry to enrollment.

  • Oversee the full admissions and onboarding process
  • Ensure a smooth, welcoming, and well-organized family experience
  • Improve systems, workflows, and CRM processes
  • Work closely with academic and operational teams for smooth onboarding

Family Experience & Feedback

Strengthen how families feel connected, supported, and heard throughout their journey with ISD.

  • Monitor and improve parent and family experience
  • Manage feedback systems and act on insights
  • Strengthen engagement, retention, and community connection

Data & Performance

Use data not as an end in itself, but as a way to better understand and serve families.

  • Analyze full enrollment funnel performance and conversion metrics
  • Provide regular reports to leadership
  • Identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities

 

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Lead-to-enrollment conversion rate
  • Total student enrollment growth
  • Pipeline volume and quality
  • Corporate partnership revenue / scholarship funding secured
  • Parent satisfaction (NPS / feedback scores)
  • CRM data accuracy and process compliance

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. marketing, communications, business, international relations, humanities)
  • 5–10 years of leadership experience in growth, admissions, marketing, or partnerships
  • Strong communication skills in English (Hungarian an advantage)
  • Strategic mindset with strong people and relationship skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and data-driven decision-making
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment
