Our Grade 4 students are continuing to grow their wonderful partnership with Kazinczy Public School this year, and they kicked it off in the best way possible: with a morning full of fun, teamwork, and new friendships!
Last year’s reflections taught us an important lesson, before diving into collaborative projects like poetry writing, it’s essential to truly get to know one another. So, this year’s first service learning visit focused on connection.
Students from both schools teamed up for an energetic “Get-to-Know-You Morning,” filled with laughter, smiles, and teamwork. Together, they played capture the flag, joined in team-building games, and participated in relays and games that both classes helped design.
The energy was electric as students encouraged one another, celebrated successes, and discovered just how much they have in common. By the end of the morning, new friendships had blossomed and a strong sense of community had taken root.
We can’t wait to see how these bonds continue to grow throughout the year and how this foundation of friendship will inspire deeper collaboration and meaningful learning experiences between our two schools.
