Our Grade 9 students recently had the incredible opportunity to put their storytelling skills into action during a visit to Kazinczy Public School. This experience was the culmination of their English Language Learning (ELL) unit on storytelling, where they explored how identity, relationships, and characterization shape the narratives we read—and the ones we create.
Throughout the unit, students analyzed different forms of storytelling, honing their ability to craft compelling narratives. Their final challenge? To bring their stories to life through the power of spoken word. At Kazinczy Public School, they shared their tales with an engaged audience, using performance and verbal expression to captivate listeners. This experience was more than just a presentation – it was an opportunity for students to refine their communication skills, build confidence, and connect through storytelling. By stepping into the role of storytellers, they embraced the rich tradition of oral narratives, deepening their appreciation for the way stories shape and unite communities.
