ISD Grade 3 students are mastering real-world skills through persuasive language techniques and creative projects to promote a product, service, or cause showcasing their learning in an engaging assembly to the community!
Grade 3 has been learning how to use persuasive language techniques and strategies to promote a product, service, or cause. With guest speakers like our Director, Tom McLean students learned how an organization should communicate effectively. Students inquired into how the school marketing team promotes ISD and they created their own ISD ads, also incorporating visual arts.
At the end of their Unit of Inquiry ‘How we express ourselves’ they presented their learning in an assembly to the community. This featured showcasing ads created on Canva, sharing persuasive letters and speeches, and commercials created in iMovie. The assembly finished with a wonderful PE performance. This all demonstrated the enthusiasm and collaboration shared by Grade 3 students and all the teachers they work with.
