Invitation to our first WAVE DAY – 27th March
We invite you to be a part of our first WAVE DAY event, which stands for Wellness, Awareness, Vision, and Environment. This program is aligned with various initiatives of ISD. The objectives of WAVE DAY include:
– Launching the first school community project by the ISD Foundation
– Hosting a fun community team-building activity with a group walk through the Great Forest
– Promoting mental health and well-being through physical exercise
– Seeking support for our school garden project
Event Details:
We will gather for a walk in the Great Forest at 6:45 am, departing at 7:00 am from the parking lot at the entrance of the cemetery (Benczúr Gyula u. 6, 4028). The walk covers a distance of approximately 3.5 km and lasts around 60-70 minutes. Participants will be treated to a healthy snack and receive a badge upon arrival. We encourage all students and parents to join us for this walk. Children in Grade 5 and above can participate independently, while younger students must be accompanied by a parent.
In relation to the event, the ISD Foundation is seeking assistance from parents to support the school garden project, which is just getting started! For this purpose, we kindly ask for donations of USED gardening tools for maintaining the school garden, such as rakes, shovels, hand trowels, gardening gloves, hoes, and a wheelbarrow. Additionally, students will need radish seeds, bean seeds, onion bulbs, tomato plants, strawberry plants, daisy bulbs, and potatoes for planting.
These donations can be dropped off at the starting point of the walk or at the ISD car park on the day of the event. Donations can also be dropped off at the Admin office every weekday between 8.00 am – 4.30 pm.
If you are interested in participating in the walk or donating items, please assist the organizers by completing THIS form. We look forward to seeing you all there!
