Below you can read all the information you need to know about enrolling your child at the International School of Debrecen, including finances.
To begin the enrollment process, you must first register on our online application portal, Open Apply. This platform allows you to track your application’s progress and upload all the necessary documentation.
Please note that a non-refundable application fee of HUF 40.000 is required to complete the registration process. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with processing your application and is payable upon submission of the application.
Application Fee
The registration of a student can only be completed once the payment of HUF 80.000 application fee is paid. The application fee is non-refundable. This charge covers the cost of processing the application. You can pay your application fee by buying the application fee product in our Falcon Store Webshop (please note that only credit/debit cards are accepted).
Registration Fee
If the admission process is successful and the prospective student is admitted, a non-refundable, one-off registration fee of EUR 1.000 is to be paid to begin the enrollment process. This is payable within 8 days of signing the contract. The payment secures the student’s place for the school year included in the contract.
Tuition Fee
The chart below contains the tuition fees for the 2024/25 school year. All amounts are indicated in EURO, and the tuition fee can be paid in either EUR or HUF. In the case of EUR payments, the daily EUR/HUF exchange rate is determined on the date of invoicing.
Payment schedules:
Annual tuition fee is due in August.
Semi-Annual tuition fee is due in August and January.
Quarterly tuition fee is due in August, November, January and April.
IB Exam Fees
Some of the Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme exams have extra fees. The IB’s fee for its examinations reflects the high standards and quality of education it provides, ensuring a rigorous and enriching experience for all students. Availability limited in some classes!
While ISD strives to meet the needs of all international and internationally minded families, our school enrollment places are limited. ISD has reached its full class capacity for Kindergarten 1 and grades 4, 5, and 6. As a result, all applications for these grade levels will be placed in the wait-pool and admitted in accordance with the priority categories in our admissions policy. Parents considering enrollment are urged to contact the Admissions team as soon as possible.

Please note that an additional fee of 2% will be charged in case of cash payments at the school.
*The legal guardian is entitled to 10% discount of the DP program if the child is a student of the 11th grade in the school year 2023-24, 11th or 12th grade in the school year 2024-25, 12th grade in the school year 2025-26.

Family discount
-15% / -25% / -35%
We offer a 15% discount from the tuition fee for the second child, 25% for the third and 35% for the fourth child enrolled.
Loyalty discount
-8% / -10%
A legal guardian is entitled to the loyalty discount if the child has already started his/her studies at the ISD in the school year 2021/2022 or the previous school year and is starting at least his/her third year of studies in the ISD. Students who start at least their third year of school will receive an 8% discount on tuition fees and students starting their fifth year of school will receive a 10% discount.

After School Activities
At ISD, learning doesn't stop when the school day ends.
