This is what the ISD looks like from the sky

Spectacular drone photos on the construction of the Debrecen International School were posted on the Facebook page of the Bord Architect Studio, the winner of the design contest.

The launch of our school as part of the Modern Cities Program and the New Phoenix Plan is of great importance for the economic development of our city as it is a recurring issue for the managers of companies based in Debrecen to find out what learning opportunities are available for the expat families’ children. Students from Debrecen can enroll in our institution as well, and to initiate this purpose the city plans to launch a scholarship program.
The students of the school will attend a well-known and recognized internationally accredited pedagogical program that will focus on overall personality development.

The training will start in ascending system from autumn of 2019, and according to the plans, five hundred children will have the opportunity to study in English at primary and secondary level from kindergarten to graduate high school.

Mr Péter Bordás, Senior Designer, has previously expressed his views on Dehir:

“An international school has a strict philosophy of how they like to teach there, how different their educational priorities are. The representation of the circle as a unit in international schools is a very important symbol; the circle is the basic organizing force, and this is matched by the organization of classrooms and several community spaces.”

According to the Mayor's Office of Debrecen, construction works are proceeding at the pace of the contract, so the school may open its gates in September 2019.
